- What is See It Grow: Lacrosse?
- See It Grow: Lacrosse is a Utah-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing the responsible growth of lacrosse through history, education, elite instruction, service, academic responsibility, and compassionate leadership.
- Where is See It Grow based?
- See It Grow was established in Utah in 2023 and is headquartered there, with future regional expansion based on community readiness.
- What does responsible lacrosse growth mean?
- Responsible growth means expanding access to lacrosse in a way that honors the game's Indigenous, American, Canadian, and international traditions, prioritizes coach education and youth safety, and grows programs at a pace communities can sustain.
- What is Cultivate the Forest?
- Cultivate the Forest is our volunteerism program for high-school-aged student-athletes. It combines service, teaching, mentorship, academic responsibility, and leadership development, so young athletes are prepared to serve and support their own communities through lacrosse.
- Where do Cultivate service hours count?
- Each year, participants complete 15 on-field lacrosse service hours solely with their local recreational youth lacrosse program — for example, coaching, assisting, or mentoring younger players in that program. Participants also complete 10–15 off-field community-service hours outside of lacrosse, verified through our system.
- What GPA must Cultivate participants maintain?
- Cultivate participants must maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA to remain in good standing in the program.
- What academic support is available?
- See It Grow offers a structured academic-support workflow (request, review, check-in, plan, follow-up, referral) delivered by trained volunteers. It is intentionally limited in scope and does not provide clinical services.
- Does completing Cultivate guarantee a scholarship?
- No. Scholarships are awarded through a separate review process. Completing service hours, meeting the GPA requirement, and finishing the program strengthens an application but does not guarantee an award.
- How can a community request a free clinic?
- Recreation programs, schools, and community organizations can request a free clinic through The Appleseed Program page (free community coaching & clinics). Requests are reviewed based on staffing, scheduling, and geographic feasibility.
- What does the founding campaign fund?
- The founding campaign is a three-year launch foundation. The Founding Campaign page lists the categories it establishes; specific amounts will be published after board approval.
- How can someone volunteer or serve?
- The Get Involved page covers free clinics, community partnerships, media, and Field Notes. The Leadership page describes how the organization is building its founding board and leadership.
