Founder & Executive Leadership
PJ Martin

PJ Martin is an educator, lacrosse anthropologist and sociologist, lifelong game grower, successful coach, and entrepreneur. He founded See It Grow at the intersection of those experiences — convinced that lacrosse grows best when it is taught by people who understand its roots, its players, and its communities.
As founder and executive leader, he is responsible for program design, coach and volunteer development, community partnerships, and building the governance the organization will be handed to.
His professional leadership spans program growth, entrepreneurship, and the business of lacrosse — establishing and overseeing programs in cities across the United States and Canada, and serving U.S., Canadian, Indigenous, and international teams from youth to professional levels. Those roles shaped a perspective, informed by his training in anthropology, on how culture and community shape the game’s growth.

Leadership Philosophy
Build the teachers first.
See It Grow is built on the belief that the game grows well only when the adults around it are taught well. Leadership here means investing in coaches, volunteers, and student-athletes; respecting the communities already doing the work; and refusing to outrun our own capacity.
See It Grow is currently selecting its founding board and organizational leadership. Members and roles will be published once appointments are finalized.
